We had a full range of OR activities today. In all, 13 OR cases, several advanced stage repairs on patients with cleft palates (they require multiple procedures over several years for full functioning), ear and nose reconstructions and hand/foot deformities. Our last case didn't finish until late, so some of us stayed late to take care of him.
The local Rotarians are out in full force, helping as volunteers, translating, getting us meals and transportation and other needs.
Talking to patients and their families is a sobering reminder of how difficult life is for many here.
Tomorrow is another full OR day, but Sunday is a rest/fun day!
